Unity for Uplift Visits Roshni Village: Supporting a Community of Strength and Compassion

On August 19th, Unity for Uplift had the privilege of visiting Roshni Village in Lahore — a remarkable community dedicated to empowering adults with special needs. Founded in 2001, Roshni provides more than 30 friends with a safe and nurturing place to live, work, and develop essential life skills. The village operates as both a home and a creative space, where residents engage in art, textile work, baking, woodcraft, and more. Every product made by the Friends reflects not just craftsmanship but also dignity, self-expression, and hope. Most of Roshni’s residents pay little or nothing to live there, which makes its mission even more meaningful — and more challenging. The costs of daily medicines and treatments are high, and without a stable funding source, sustaining those needs can become overwhelming. During our visit, Unity for Uplift was deeply honored to provide Roshni’s residents with their daily medicines, as well as additional supplies to support half of the community’s medical needs for an entire month. It was a day filled with compassion, learning, and gratitude. We witnessed firsthand the strength of a community built on love and inclusion, and we left inspired by Roshni’s unwavering commitment to its Friends. At Unity for Uplift, we believe that true wellness begins with unity — and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to stand beside Roshni Village in their mission to create a more inclusive and caring world.

Unity for Uplift Hosts Free Medical Camp in Malik Pur: Bringing Care Where It’s Needed Most

On August 23rd, Unity for Uplift hosted a free medical camp in Malik Pur, near DHA Phase 8 in Lahore — bringing essential healthcare services directly to underprivileged communities. From 3 PM onward, our team of dedicated doctors and volunteers welcomed patients of all ages. While the camp primarily focused on children’s health concerns, we also ensured that adults and elderly residents received the medical attention and support they needed. Throughout the day, we provided general consultations for a wide range of conditions — from skin issues and pain management to diabetes, blood pressure, and other chronic illnesses. Each patient received a free check-up, along with the necessary medicines and supplements, completely free of cost. By the end of the day, we had the privilege of serving over 100 local residents, offering not only medical care but also compassion, dignity, and hope. At Unity for Uplift, we believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. This event was another step toward our mission of bridging healthcare gaps — one community at a time.

On August 22nd, Unity for Uplift proudly joined forces with Hope Uplift Foundation to host our first-ever joint medical camp, a milestone collaboration dedicated to improving healthcare access for mothers and children in underserved communities. The camp took place in a rural village near Bedian Road, Lahore, where healthcare resources are often limited. From 4 PM onward, our team of doctors and volunteers warmly welcomed families, providing free medical consultations, treatments, and medicines to everyone in need. This initiative focused on pediatrics, gynecology, and general healthcare, ensuring that both mothers and their children received the care and attention they deserve. By the end of the day, we were honored to have impacted over 500 individuals, bringing vital medical support and hope to a community that often goes without access to such services. On August 26th, Unity for Uplift had the opportunity to host a medical camp in Naval Anchorage, Islamabad an initiative focused on supporting residents with limited access to essential healthcare services. During the camp, our dedicated team provided free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and temperature, followed by medications and guidance based on each patient’s individual needs. While the camp served a smaller group of around 15 patients due to its location within a residential area, this setting allowed us to deliver more personalized, one-on-one care. Our volunteers were able to spend extra time with each patient listening to their stories, addressing concerns, and ensuring they received the attention they deserved. Even small-scale efforts can make a meaningful difference, and this camp reminded us that impact isn’t measured by numbers, but by the lives touched. On September 14th, Unity for Uplift hosted a free medical camp in the quaint village of Sehoul, located about 45 minutes outside of DHA Phase 8, Lahore. The event aimed to make quality healthcare accessible to residents who often face barriers to medical services. From 9 AM to 3 PM, our dedicated doctors and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure that over 165 patients of all ages were seen and cared for. Each patient received a free check-up and diagnosis, along with medicines and supplements provided at no cost to them. By focusing on general medicine, our team was able to address a wide range of health concerns from common illnesses to chronic conditions and bring relief and reassurance to those who needed it most. This camp reflected the very heart of Unity for Uplift’s mission: bridging healthcare gaps and serving with compassion.
